Greetings, my poppets!

My, it has been ages since I have written in this blog-type-thing that Serge set me up with. School has kept me so busy. It's been cutting into my social life too. Classes start first thing in the afternoon. Who's got it together by then?

I was thinking about gender roles today. Last time I was at Eighties Night at my favorite dance club they played Sex, I'm a... by Berlin (quite the underapriciated song if you ask me, it might not be as catchy on technical merits as The Metro but it has a certain charm). Anyhow, its a song about role-playing in the sack, right? The girl in the duet keeps mentioning all these roles she can play, "I'm a virgin, I'm a whore, I'm a goddess, I'm a slave, etc" and the man only says "I'm a man" in response. That's right, all the wonderful things she dresses up as and he's always just a man. He doesn't even get to be a pirate, or your best friends' younger brother, or your stern English teacher or ANYTHING! Who can say it's more furking fun to be a man than a woman? We get all the best roles. :)

Moving in

Unpacking! Is there anything so odious? Just the thought of it sends me into ennui. The Lady certainly has her hands full this week. I've commandeered a double room so I have the space for my studio. My sewing equipment and supplies take up quite a bit of space, but at least I won't have to labor away in the drafty arts annex. I had to choose which decorations I was taking carefully, space is a luxury I'm afraid. I'm glad I took my favorite Aubrey Beardsley print, it never ceases to inspire me.

One thing I am missing is my collection of Confederate pistols and muskets. These Blue States don't think you should be able to have firearms in your private residence you see, and they're against the college housing policy. Just another reason to find a place off-campus I suppose. They moved me into a male dorm as well, bureaucratic nonsense that I couldn't talk/flirt my way out of. Such is life, I've been though too much to bitch all day about it.

Until next time, gentle readers.
A.K.

Okay, I think I've got the hang of this...

I've never been one for computers, or diaries, but let's give this a shot.

I have arrived in Pennsylvania.
Dear Gods, do I really have to spend two years here? There is snow on the ground!
What would my grandfather think about my move to northern climes?

Let us hope Yankee men can be gentlemen, I would hate to have to train one.

Appearance and Introduction

Atlanta transplant Anastasia Krupp is a 23 year old graduate student of fiber arts and fine arts. She has the curious distinction of working both as a fashion designer and gunsmith. This is her first quarter at Fairgrove. She smokes too much, drinks too much, and talks too much.

The Lady Krupp always endeavors to be impeccably dressed, like a character who just waltzed out of an Aubrey Beardsley illustration. Her chimerical mein is formidable, a tapestry of turn of the century fashion. Her blond hair is usually piled up under some astonishing hat. It helps to show off the wares, so she dresses as you would expect a sidhe would, but with less fine jewelry to show respect to nobility. A reddish nose and spiral designs on her cheeks, and long tapered ears give away her kith affiliations. Her creations are known for their contraptions and clockwork, just as you would expect any ensemble crafted by a Nocker.
(Appearance 3, Charisma 3)
